The Meteorological Department expert Muhammad Hanif on Friday forecast more rain and snowfall in various parts of the country during next 24 hours. Talking to a private TV channel, he expressed hope rainfall would continue in capital, various parts of Punjab and Sindh during next 24 hours. There were also chances of snowfall over the hills in NWFP during next 24 hours.

He said the present rain and snowfall would completely end the dense fog in the country and would have positive effects on the wheat crop.

Muhammad Hanif further said southern areas of Balochistan also received first rainfall during last three years.

Last night a good rainfall of the season was recorded in Sindh province, he said adding more rainfall was expected in upper areas of the province including Shikarpur, Khairpur and Sukkur during next 24 hours.

He said more rainfall is expected in Quetta and its surrounding areas while Lahore would also have a good rainfall during Friday night, he added.

He said snowfall had been recorded in various parts of Northern Areas including Kalam and Malam Jabba during past four days, he added that would further continue during next 24 hours.

Muhammad Hanif said snowfall was expected in Murree and its surrounding areas on Saturday, which had so far received light snowfall.
